MINUTES

Meeting: 10 April 2003

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:42 p.m.

Roll Call: Jim Ingham, Don Leach, Michael Spadoni, Bill Schmiett, Sarah Hart, Chief Gill and AC Sharon Villanueva.

Introduction of Guests: None

Public Comments: None

Director Ingham made a motion to approve the March 13 2003 minutes. Director Spadoni seconded. (5-0-0)

New Business: None

Old Business: None

Directors Reports:

Director Ingham: Discussion on Sheep/Swiss Ranch area and Frecerro Road tax monies. Director Schmiett will contact the county assessor regarding tax assessment on annexed areas of the district.

Director Spadoni: None

Director Leach: None

Director Hart: None

Director Schmiett: Attended the Calaveras Foothills Fire Safe Council meeting this month. The council will focus on educating the public on fire prevention measures, a countywide fire plan, recycling vegetation, evacuation corridors, and promoting a healthy forest. The council has published a handout for the public and information can be obtained visiting the web site at www.firesafecouncil.org. Meetings are the first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. Next meeting will be in West Point.

Committee Reports:

A. Personnel Committee: No meeting this month.

B. Capital Equipment and Finance Committee: Director Hart and Ingham met to revise 2002-2003 budget. Revised budget will be an agenda item next month.

C. Public Relations Committee: No meeting this month.

Financial:

A. Director Hart made a motion to accept the 10 April 2003 transmittal. Director Spadoni seconded. (5-0-0)

Director Ingham made a motion to close the regular meeting at 07:45 p.m. Director Spadoni seconded. (5-0-0)
