MINUTES

Meeting: 11 October, 2001

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:36 p.m.

Roll Call: Mike Spadoni, Jim Ingham, Don Leach, Interim Fire Chief Phil Soria and AC Sharon Villanueva. Absent Sarah Hart and Allen Sender.

Introduction of Guests: None

Public Comments: None

Director Leach made a motion to add agenda item B under New Business: New York Firefighters Disaster Relief Fund. Director Ingham seconded. (3-0-2)

Director Ingham made a motion to approve the minutes of the 13 September, 2001 regular meeting of the board. Director Leach seconded. (3-0-2)

Director Leach made a motion to approve the minutes of the 20 September, 2001 special meeting of the board. Director Ingham seconded. (3-0-2)

Director Ingham made a motion to approve the minutes of the 29 September, 2001 special meeting of the board with the correction under Closed Session: Report of Action Taken “The Board voted 4-0-1 to hire Robert L. Gill as the new Fire Chief pending references and background check.“ Director Leach seconded. (3-0-2)

New Business:

A. 2000-01 Audit: Tabled until the November meeting.

B. New York 911 Firefighters Disaster Relief Fund. The Board of Directors collected $325.00 from the people of the District to send to the relief fund.

Old Business: A. Discussion: Two vacant seats are to be filled for the November Board of Directors elections.

A. Director Ingham made a motion to accept the 11 October, 2001 transmittal. Director Leach seconded. (3-0-2)
