2.         Training: There were three training sessions in November with an average attendance of seventeen.  Subjects of study were:  Auto Extrication Training (Hands-On), Ropes and Knots, Communications (Radio) and EMS Scenarios (Hands-On).

 

3.         Personnel: New (Volunteer) FF Mike Brown, Jesus Maria Road 12/10/02   

 

4.         Building and Grounds: On-going!

            Station #1: Need to expand admin section in the future-        

            Station #2: OK-       

            Station #3: Waiting CDF Con Crew Rehab (Capt Ponti) decision-                

            Station #4: Waiting Restroom completion-

            Station #5: Complete-

                                                                   

5.         Apparatus: R-121 Out-of-Service, Chassis (Rear Box), P-122 (diesel) Out-of- Service, starter & glow-plugs, snow chains equipped on all major pieces and personnel trained to install on 12/10/02.   

 

            6. Chiefs Association: State Budget problems won’t effect Fire Districts, at least the first round, County’s Workman’s Comp issue still being worked by the county, effected fire districts will be notified if any change ASAP, selected new “Treasurer” of Calaveras County Fire Chiefs Assn for the year 2003, Currently account has $3925.37 in the Chiefs Assn, Next “Hwy 26 Corridor Fire Safe Council Meeting” 01/07/03 at 6:00 PM @ Mokelumne Hill Community Center, A FSC Board was selected 12/03/02, I’ll attend the 01/07/03 meeting, New County HazMat Inspector (Jason Boetzer) for local business hazmat compliance.                

 

 7.        Miscellaneous:  Vegetation Fire (15 acres) on Armstrong Road on Monday, 11/25/02 went very well, Structure Fire at the end of Cave City Road on Saturday, 12/07/02 also went very well, no injuries reported by any crews, Paid staff continuing making progress on forming District Prefire (Pre-Event) Plans on our target hazard facilities for fire apparatus, Crews request exercise equipment (Bowflex Machine) for Sta 1 @ $749.00 plus $99.00 S & H, a savings of $300.00 before 12/31/2002, District’s Fire Cadet Program (5) & High School ROP Program (3) are performing very well, Created Release for Photographic & Videotape Reproduction of a Minor Forms for the districts web site.
