2.            Training:  There were three training sessions in January with an average attendance of nineteen.  Subjects of study were:  EMS-Heat & Cold Emergencies, (Burns), Personal Protective Gear Inspection and Inventory, EMS-Diabetes & Strokes, AED, ICS Basics and Firefighter Safety (SOG's).

 

3.            Personnel: Current district staffing: 2- paid firefighters, 1-administrative assistant, and 20-Volunteer Firefighters & Support Staff   

 

4.            Building and Grounds: On-going!

5.            Apparatus: E-123 (Modesto) Annual Safety& Service, and Pump Test, New Chevy Suburban (Chief-120’s) vehicle lights, siren and radios installed on 02/13/04, sell/surplus out districts 1994 Ford Explorer,

 

6.         Chiefs Association: New County EMS (3) Zones Briefing from MV-EMS’s Rick Jones, Chief’s Assn. formed committee to assist MV-EMS in fire district needs for new EMS zones, Glenn Bass, MLTO Assn’s briefing on proposed future County Training Facility and 2004 scholarship applications, County’s Air Pollution’s Mr. Lockmear briefing on Burn Barrel enforcement, State Fire Marshal’s Randy Shelton briefing on fire marshal’s role in supporting local county fire agencies, Calaveras Foothills Fire Safe Council’s 5 grant applications, CICCS 300-level applications deadline, 2004 Wild land Training syllabus,
